Travel Pictures Gallery.com - Europe - Turkey - Cappadocia
a series of travel images from Europe, Turkey - Cappadocia. (Turkish: Kapadokya) is an area in Central Anatolia best known for its unique moon-like landscape, underground cities, cave churches, and houses carved in the rocks. Thousands of years of erosion have created these unique landscapes where people have been living in cave dwellings right until today in the valleys and towns of Göreme and Ürgüp. The Rock Sites of Cappadocia are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Photography by Astrid Kruiff ©
