a series of travel images from Thailand, Islands and Beaches, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Chang and Koh Samet. According to the Thai Marine Authority there are 1429 islands in Thailand. Millions of people flock to the tempting beaches each year for obvious reasons but still there are unspoiled places enough to travel to. The images shown here are just a small example of places we visited over the years. Krabi is a town on the mainland on the Andaman coast, the prime beach resort here is Ao Nang. Koh Phi Phi is a group of small island in the Krabi Province, very beautiful but rather suffering under the great numbers of visitors. Koh Chang is a larger island in the Gulf of Thailand near the border of Cambodia, a bit further out and as yet quieter than the popular Kah Samui end Phuket. Koh Samet is also in the Gulf of Thailand and closer to Bangkok so it's easy to visit for a few days from the capital
