a series of travel images from Greece, West Crete. In this chapter we vist the Sfakia region, a mountainous area in the southwestern part of the island. Crossing the Lefka Ori (White Mountains) from Chania we visit the attractive small hamlet of Chora Sfakion (Hora Sfakion), taking a ferry to Loutro, another small resort and on to Aghia Roumelli to make the hike in the famous Samaria Gorge, a National Park of Greece since 1962 and a World's Biosphere Reserve.
